The surrounding area (the hills of Turin and the adjoining Monferrato) are perfect for walking and horse riding, jogging, mountain-biking and cycling tours. There are wine producers in the area (the most typical local wine is Freisa) and trattorie offering traditional Piedmontese cuisine. The centre of Turin is 27 km away, and scenic routes can be taken to the Basilica of Superga, Castelnuovo Don Bosco, the Romanesque church of Cortazzone, the Sacro Monte of Crea, and Vezzolano abbey.
